Hazardous areas, where inflammable materials are stored or handled are exposed to risk of fire, due to ignition of flammable materials by spark emission from the exhaust vent of internal combustion engines. The unburnt hot carbon particles emitted from stationary diesel engines operating in such areas may be the source of such ignitive spark.

Diesel Engine exhaust spark arresters are fitted to the exhaust vents of diesel engines running in the hazardous areas to prevent the egress of hot carbon particles from the exhaust vents from coming in contact with the hazardous materials.

The spark arrester design allows normal engine operation without any back pressure. Also the device is easy to clean & maintain.

The sizes are as per the Horsepower of the engines. The material of construction shall be MS or Stainless Steel. Matching flange with PCD shall be provided to facilitate fitting on the vent pipe. The spark arrester shall be provided with heat resistant paint.
