| The
telephone is approved for use on PABX/EPABX on sites with potentially
hazardous areas viz. Petroleum, Fertilizers, Peroxide, Pharmaceuticals,
Chemicals and Petro Chemicals etc.). It is in accordance with the
Central Mining Research Institute (CMRI), a Govt. of India testing
institute and a confirmity certificate to this effect is issued by
them. The telephone housing made of shock and impact resistant material is also unaffected by acids, humidity, oils and greases. Used corrosion proof, screws, shafts, bolts of stainless steel is of great advantage in environments of high humidity and rust effect. Even at locations subject to extreme temperature variation will not affect the function of the telephone. The push button dial system is integrated in the telephone cover. Its protection mode "Pressure Proof Encapsulation" prevents dust getting into the system and also a cover is provided on dial for mechanical protection. The encapsulated but easily exchangeable PCB with the electronics as well as the hook switch system and ringer coil are assembled in the telephone housing. A partition divides the terminal box of the telephone into two compartments: the terminals for the intrinsically safe telephone cable and for the secondary ringer are assembled in the larger compartments with PCB and dialer, safe circuits of handset and second receiver are in smaller one. Similar to the telephone housing the handset housing contains same material character and the handset is provided with screened cable.
